Amazon FBA - The £30,000 Gamble!

Why have I just invested over £30,000 in my Amazon FBA business? And why, even though I have been selling on Amazon for 3 years, does it still feel like a bit of a gamble?

It may only be early August, however, I have just placed an order for the inventory that I plan to sell on Amazon in the lead-up to Christmas. When I combine this recent investment with the previous inventory that I ordered in April (that I am hoping to send to Amazon in the next week or so), it means I now have £31,000 invested in stock!

In the ideal world of course I would prefer to sell some of this stock before ordering new inventory, however, with combined manufacturer and shipping lead times of over 3 months, I have to order now to avoid going out of stock later in the year.
