Over the past few days, a number of articles have been published that discuss the possibility of a new 1% tax on online retailers who have 'benefited' from the pandemic such as Amazon. This tax is being pushed by a number of large companies, namely Tesco, Asda, Morrison's - i.e. supermarkets in the UK who are fed up of having to pay rates (despite getting a rates refund in 2020), when Amazon doesn't have to, which is due to the difference in real estate valuations across the country.

If this tax gets approved, it will mean one thing - higher fees for us Amazon FBA sellers in the UK, which will mean higher prices for customers. In this video I discuss the implications in more detail, and give my opinion on the matter.
