UPDATE: Two more sponsors introduced *minutes* after this posted. There are now 133 congressional co-sponsors.

The HELPER Act continues to collect co-sponsors in the House and in the Senate. The bill, which is a 100% mortgage for first-time home buyers with no mortgage insurance requirement is a home affordability bill for teachers, for law enforcement officials, firefighters, first responders. It's based on FHA lending, which means that lower-end credit scores are okay with the program. And there are identical versions of the bill in the House and in the Senate. 131 co-sponsors total from both sides of the aisle, new co-sponsors signing on regularly. And that momentum gives The HELPER Act a better than good chance of passing into law. It's self-funding, it's pro-consumer, and first-time buyers could have access to a HELPER Act mortgage as soon as later this year. We put a link to read more in the description.
