Sis Shailaja Vishwanath came into Swami's fold in 1994, along with the rest of her family in Nairobi, Kenya, through the book, 'My Baba and I', by John Hislop. In 1999, she joined the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus, for her MA in English Language and Literature.

Through the two years as a student, she was blessed to be part of the bhajan group. She was fortunate to sing before Bhagawan during Mahashivaratri and Akhanda Bhajans during this period. In November 2001, she received the gold medal for the MA programme from Swami's divine hands.

Thereafter, she got married and also started working as a verbal trainer for MBA students.In 2007, she started blogging, primarily as a parenting writer, recording her experiences as a new mother.

Since 2018, she has been a Blogging and Social Media Coach, helping content creators and small business owners build their authentic brand in the digital space ( https://shailajav.com )
