Okay, so the title is a little click baity, though I do think this is a real possibility. I think the NFT Art Marketplace is interesting because it's getting people into crypto. I also realize that we do live in a digital world and non-tangible items do have value. People buy virtual worlds in video games, we own digital music and movies instead of owning CD's and DVD's, and we spend a lot of our time online. That said I do think a lot of people, myself included, have a tougher time wrapping our head around owning intangible items. Unlike art work which you can see on your wall or which acts as a conversation piece in your office or home, digital art doesn't really have that going for it.

The biggest problem I see however is that there doesn't seem to be any end users or collectors, everyone in the space seems to be buying as speculators as opposed to collectors and I don't see a marketplace entirely filled with speculators can survive.

All this said it is in the very early stages and I think what the NFT marketplace will ultimately look like and how it will be used will look much different than the space today. Your thoughts? Drop a comment down below.
